wine sessions with Seppeltsfield.
The resumption of Wine Sessions in 2024 brings an air of excitement as we eagerly anticipate the presence of Fiona Donaldson, Chief Winemaker at Seppeltsfield. Ms. Donaldson's introduction to winemaking at the age of 17, marked by a letter seeking guidance from the renowned Len Evans, imparts a compelling narrative to her career. Unbeknownst to her, she was correspondingly reaching out to a luminary in the Australian wine industry. Encouraged by Evans, she pursued studies at Adelaide's preeminent Roseworthy Agricultural College, ultimately leading to her current esteemed position at Seppeltsfield.
Since joining the Seppeltsfield team, Fiona Donaldson has orchestrated a transformation of the 1888 winery, infusing it with a contemporary perspective on table wines while maintaining an extensive array of esteemed back vintages. Her swift ascent within the industry is exemplified by her recognition as Winemaker of the Year by the Barons of Barossa within a short span.
We are privileged to have Fiona Donaldson inaugurate our Wine Sessions for 2024, presenting a curated selection of Seppeltsfield's notable wines. The event promises an enlightening experience as participants delve into the spectrum of offerings, ranging from contemporary expressions to the allure of aged vintages. We extend our best wishes for a successful and memorable Wine Session. Cheers to an evening of exploration and appreciation guided by the expertise of Fiona Donaldson.
